Kia ora, thank you for your interest in our Rongoaa aa Wairua - Spirit of the Plants Retreat. Please register using the form below to secure your place as a volunteer.

When: 29th March - 5th April 2025
Where: Te Moata Retreat Centre - Tairua, Coromandel Peninsula

Exchange

As a kaiāwhina/volunteer you would sleep in different quarters but still eat with everyone. You would help out in the kitchen and generally tidy up the place for approx 3-4 hours a day. In exchange for your mahi you will get to join in on the waananga around your duties of service. Please note, transport will be at your own cost, but food, accommodation and opportunities for waananga are included when registering as a kaiāwhina.

Have you any experience with Rongoaa, if so what is a brief whakapapa of this Matuaranga or where/who did you learn from.

What is your intention for coming to Rongoaa aa wairua Wananga.

I understand that Te Moata is off the grid and uses solar and a local water source so in order to conserve the energy at the retreat centre they ask us to bring our own sheets/blanket/sleeping bag and towel.

I understand I am registering as a Kaiāwhina / volunteer to the Te Moata retreat sanctuary - While there will be opportunity to attend waananga, my priority is within a role of service to Te Moata and ensuring all needs are fulfilled to ensure the Rongoaa aa Wairua event runs smoothly.

I acknowledge the whakapapa of the Mātauranga shared during waananga. It is shared in good faith for personal practice and application. And I agree not to replicate, reformat or commercially reproduce or reteach any of these learnings without the whakaae or written consent from Ruatau Perez or Te Ara Teatea Trust.

I agree to pay a non-refundable deposit to hold my place for this Waananga, if I am unable to attend I acknowledge my deposit will not be refunded. You are welcome to request for us to transfer your deposit to the next available Waananga you wish to attend (please let us know in writing), or under exceptional circumstances we are able to discuss other options.
